Proposed Equestrian Improvements
Pine View Farm is preparing a Site Plan Review application with Boulder County for a private equestrian facility, including a 20-stall barn and indoor riding arena.
We are sharing this information early to help keep neighbors informed, answer questions, and ensure the project is thoughtfully integrated into the surrounding rural area.
Project Overview
A Longstanding Boulder County Property
Pine View Farm has been a family-owned organic tree and vegetable farm for more than 30 years. The 44-acre property has also supported a small number of horses over the past 15 years, with most boarding taking place off-site.
The goal of this project is to bring those equestrian activities back to the property in a way that respects its history, setting, and surrounding rural character.
Private Equestrian Improvements
The proposed improvements include a 20-stall barn and a 100’ x 200’ indoor riding arena designed to support private, family use. These structures are intended to accommodate existing equestrian activities that have historically been part of the property, while bringing them fully on-site in a more organized and efficient way.
This is not a commercial operation or public event venue. The project is focused on maintaining a small-scale, private use that aligns with the property’s long-standing agricultural and rural character, while supporting day-to-day equestrian care and training needs.
Thoughtful, Low-Impact Design
The project has been carefully planned to minimize impacts on neighboring properties and to fit within the rural character of the area.
Design considerations include building placement, visibility, traffic and trailer movement, lighting, noise, drainage, and water quality. The team is committed to ongoing communication and a thoughtful, respectful process as the project moves forward.
